Salem Principal Trey Duke
Dear Salem Saints,

On behalf of the entire Salem Elementary team, I would like to welcome you to our brand-new school community! Over the past year, extensive planning, construction and hard work has gone into preparing for opening our building and ensuring we have a successful school year.

My name is Mr. Trey Duke, and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as your principal. I am looking forward to meeting new faces and getting to know each of the families that will join our Salem family. For those of you who have not met me, I have been in education for 16 years. For the past ten years, I have served as an assistant principal, principal, and district administrator. I am passionate about public education, and opening up Salem has been a highlight of my career.

At Salem Elementary, our focus and commitment will be to ENGAGE, EXCEL, and EMPOWER our students, teachers, families and community stakeholders. One of our goals is to make Salem a hub for our community, and we look forward to partnering with you on this journey.

Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time. I am always happy to meet and talk with you about questions or concerns you may have.

We are going to do great things on our campus and beyond! Go Saints!

Assistant Principal Sia Phillips
I am very excited to announce that Mrs. Sia Phillips will be serving as our assistant principal at Salem Elementary! Mrs. Phillips has fifteen years of experience with Murfreesboro City Schools. She most recently served as the assistant principal at Discovery School following a two-year tenure at Reeves Rogers Elementary. Prior to serving as an administrator, she worked alongside teachers as an academic coach for Murfreesboro City Schools. Mrs. Phillips has also served as a third grade classroom teacher at John Pittard and Reeves Rogers Elementary after serving as an ESL teacher. She received her Bachelors in Education, Masters in Administration and Supervision, and ED.S in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Her experience and background working with a STEM designated magnet school is going to make her an excellent addition to our Salem school community. I am excited to work with her as we lay the foundation of our school!
