History

Salem Elementary School opened in 2019 with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 28, 2019. Dr. Trey Duke, current Director of Schools for Murfreesboro City Schools, served as our first principal, and Mrs. Sia Phillips served as our first assistant principal. Our mascot is Baxter, a Saint Bernard, and  we’re proud to be known as the Salem Saints. In just our first two years, Salem has grown to serve almost 1,000 students with over 100 classroom teachers and support staff, begun work on an outdoor classroom, and started the process for STEM accreditation … and we’re excited about all we’ll do for our Saints in the years to come!
